I appreciate the honesty. I remember you acknowledging the role of AI in your writing a few months ago. And many, many of your essays are unforgettable keepers that I greatly value and share. I read them all with interest. With that said, I would still prefer the person alone. There are many types of writing, I know. And speed is important. But I believe something is lost, for both author and reader, when the human mind and creative spirit become accustomed to a crutch. The oddity, the unique, the original, the unpolished stone, the human. That’s what I crave.

"For most of human history, the ability to communicate ideas clearly was limited by writing skill. There were plenty of people with good insights who simply couldn’t express them well on paper. Their ideas died somewhere between their brain and the page because they didn’t have the craft to make them readable."

Spot on.

I am very interested in hearing the thoughts and insights from intelligent, empathetic, and experienced people, but sadly I'm unable to directly interface with most of you on this platform that check this box. If AI helps you bring those thoughts to me, then have at it. Master carpenters use every tool available to them to create beautiful things, they just use them responsibly. Keep thinking Doc.
